Jack London: Hokey, episodic "biography" of famed author invests too much time maligning Japanese which was assumed to give topical slope to this period drama in 1943 Cast includes Michael O'Shea, Susan Hayward, Osa Massen, Harry Davenport, Frank Craven, and Virginia Mayo. (94 minutes, 1943)

Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore: The moive tells the story of a lady's odyssey to find out who she is and some measure of cheerfulness after her spouse dies, leaving her and a youthful child penniless. Cast includes Ellen Burstyn, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Green Bush, Alfred Lutter, Diane Ladd, Jodie Foster, Harvey Keitel, Vic Tayback, and Valerie Curtin. (113 minutes, 1974)

Dusty and Sweets McGee: Unorthodox, no-holds-barred docudrama detailing the daily lives of assorted heroin junkies in Los Angeles region. Cast includes Floyd Mutrux. (87 minutes, 1971)

The Sea Hawk: Top of the line amalgamation with Flynn at his streaking best in venture on the high oceans. The film has a vigorous balance of piracy, romance, and swordplay, handsomely shot, and orchestrated with exciting Erich Wolfgang Komgold score. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Pours, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson, Alan Hale, Henry Daniell, Una O'Connor, Gilbert Roland, and Edgar Buchanan. (127 minutes, 1940)

Strange Behavior: This shocker in regards to a grisly murder in a tiny Midwestern town (shot in New Zealand!) got inexplicably excellent reviews in numerous places. You wonder what all the excitement was in reference to. Cast includes Michael Murphy, Louise Fletcher, Dan Shor, Fiona Lewis, Arthur Dignam, Scott Brady, and Charles Aisle. (98 minutes, 1981)

The Little Thief: So-so personality picture of the title lass, a disassociated, amoral adolescent floating thiough life in postwar France. If she comes off as a girl Antoine Doinel, it's since the original tale was cowritten by Francois Truffuut, who was allegedly preparing to film this at the time of his demise. Cast includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Didier Bezace, Simon de la Brosse, Nathalie Cardone, and Raoul Billerey. (104 minutes, 1989)

Days of Glory: Genuine although trudging WW2 action pitting the Russians versus the Nazis, memorable only as Peck's big screen debut. Cast includes Gregory Peck, Alan Reed, Maria Palmer, Lowell Gilmore, and Tamara Toumanova. (86 minutes, 1944)

The Hills Run Red: Civil War Western of stolen payrolls. The movie is badly dubbed and loosely performed. Cast includes Thomas Hunter, Henry Silva, Dan Duryea, and Nando Gazzola. (89 mnutes, 1966)

Hail Mary: Uninteresting, overblown updating of the tale of Christ's birth, with Mary a student basketball competitor! Even though still a virgin, she finds herself pregnant. This film kindled much dissention and was even condenmed by the Pope. Cast includes Myriem Roussel, Thierry Rode, Philippe Lacoste, Manon Anderson, and Juliette Binoche. (107minutes, 1985)
